Camp Sessions

A week of ranch life, outdoor adventure, and confidence-building for kids ages 10–18 affected by childhood cancer.

In a safe environment, kids build relationships, learn new skills, and accomplish things they never thought possible.

Campers are encouraged to challenge themselves and cheer on others as they all achieve new goals with pride and joy. By the end of each one-week session, the spirits of the campers really do soar!

Camp Life at Nighthawk Ranch

Every day blends hands-on ranch life, outdoor experiences, and time to relax and bond with new friends. Campers choose their pace — whether that’s tackling new challenges or simply enjoying the quiet of the Colorado mountains.

Outdoor Adventures

Horseback Riding

Each camper grooms and rides their own horse daily, exploring the ranch and surrounding land while building confidence and trust.

Ropes Course & Archery

Challenge yourself on our ropes course and archery range with encouragement from counselors every step of the way.

Cattle Drive & Ranch Chores

Feed the cows, hand out hay, and experience a mini cattle drive — a true taste of working ranch life in Colorado.

Fishing, Camping & Exploring

Walk forest paths, spot wildlife, build log cabins together, camp under the stars, and gather around the campfire for stories and s’mores.

Indoor Activities & Downtime

Endless Current Pool

Swim against the current in our indoor pool — a camper favorite no matter the weather.

Games & Friendly Competition

Air hockey, ping pong, darts, board games, and plenty of laughs with new friends.

Creative Projects & Unique Crafts

Work on hands-on projects and crafts — and take home what you make as a keepsake from camp.

There are plenty of activities — and just as much permission to slow down. Campers can relax in the reading area, spend quiet time in nature, or simply hang out with friends. At Nighthawk Ranch, every child is encouraged, while cared for, to choose how they experience their week.
